Pronunciation of Niedzielski

Niedzielski (pronounced Na-jell-ski)is derived from the Polish name for Sunday. Might they have been a priestly clan from the old Polish Orthodox Church which allowed its priests to marry? But taken from the sound of the syllables, the first part of the name is a negation - meaning "not". The root of the second part (pronounced jell) is taken from the root word for "work." So the Niedzielskis it would seem did not do physical work. They were not laborers.
