How to pronounce Aigner?

"Ig(long i {as in 'idea'})-ner" -This is the german pronunciation, which is my family's pronunciation. I understand that it's difficult to pronounce, but I still cringe when I hear "Ag-ner" or "Egg-ner.
The french pronunciation is "In(long i {as in 'idea'})-ya(long a){as in 'apex'}"

"Etienne" is French. But the name "Aigner" is not French. It is German. It is correctly pronunced (long) I-gner (glottal 'G') and with the accent on the first syllable.
