It is my opinion that in the U.S., most Laughlins in the east pronounce it Lock-lynn. As you travel to the Midwest and further west, it is usually pronounced Lauf-Lynn.
I am a Laughlin and my family has always pronounced it with the "ck" sound in the middle. I believe this is as the Irish and Scots originally pronounced the various spellings of the name.
