How to pronounce Engle?

My last name is Engle... I certainly have never heard it pronounced "EENG-gull".

The "E" is more like the sound in "bed." I remember the older folks, as I was growing up, barely vocalizing the "g". It most certainly is NOT a long E like in "see."

It's actually more like EENG-gull.
