Pronunciation of Bromley in Bromley (Greater London), UK

I use the 18th century pronunciation, which rhymes with "comely" e.g. comely lass.
After WW1, an heavy influx of Inner Londoners adopted BROMley (as in FROM). Too "hard", in my view.
